I LOVE houses, home decor, HGTV so you can imagine my excitement to get in on this wonderful idea. I have missed the past four weeks, so I will try to catch up over the next couple of Fridays.
This week is dining rooms. Most of you know that Jason and I moved into a little starter home in Kyle, Texas back in November. There is still some work to be done, but all in all, our cozy "first house" is shaping up quite nicely. We have an eat in kitchen so showing off the dining room and the kitchen is basically the same thing. The pics are a little grainy and dark because I had to use my bberry. Drum roll please...

This chabby chic red china cabinet is my absolute favorite piece in the entire house. We bought it before we were married and Jason housed it in his apartment until I moved in. It originally served as a bookshelf when we lived in D.C., but now I think it is the perfect quirky space for my china!

And now onto the kitchen...
I would love your suggestions. Can't wait to check out all the other dining rooms!

Wait a sec Carm...is your house always that clean??? haha
Love it! Also love that I have the same "Texas, the last great place" sign in my house...
Thanks...and my house is only clean when I am a) taking pictures or b) having company ;)
Thanks Whit...that sign is one of my favs!
How fun is that red hutch/cabinet!?!? Do you think long window treatments with the rod hung near the ceiling would work?
Carmen, I don't know what I miss more-- you or your red dining cabinet.
And for the record, I don't actually KNOW Kelly...just another follower like you. Don't you love her blog? Makes me want to have a baby...until I realize I don't have a job and live in a 950 sq foot condo. :)
I'm glad you joined in!
I am with you on the red piece! It is great! I would put some long drapes over the windows with some cute tie backs. That would add a lot of color and warmth and then you could just pull them back when you want them open. Just a though! Love it! Thanks for sharing!
May I suggest watermelons for your next seasonal fruit display?
I love that red piece...oh my,,it is gorgeous.
